The reveal of the Smilesssvrs NFTs and our community’s reaction to the art
Our journey began when Waheed discovered the actual values behind what was to be embraced within his artwork. He wanted to create something that had the potential to thrive solely off the quality of its art while celebrating the people and the journey that contributed to his success along the way. It’s been a long time coming, but the Smilesssvrs NFTs is finally revealed to the world, and the last few weeks have brought with them an emotional rollercoaster for everyone involved; from those that helped build our brand identity to what it is today to our community members, and each individual on Team Smilesss.
Most importantly, this past week was a whirlwind of mixed feelings as Waheed himself finally turned his dream into a reality. Waheed had mentioned that he wanted the day of reveal to feel like Christmas morning, and we can honestly say there’s no better comparison. Saturday morning of November 13th, 2021, everyone was filled with giddiness and excitement as each Smilesssvrs holder began refreshing their metadata; we can’t even begin to explain the love and good energy that came as a result.

Finally, seeing everything come together after months of sacrifice and hard work is a feeling we can’t quite describe, but as promised from the very start, it was definitely one worth waiting for! It’s important to note that this wasn’t just any generative art NFT collection but rather a digital collectible embodying Waheed’s struggles as an artist and his journey as an immigrant in a foreign country. Each trait tells a story about his life, which further provides a visual connection between the brands and individuals that played a significant part in his road to success.
Our team’s ability to work together, deliver, and adapt to the situation at hand has been incredible. Still, we’re most proud that our community members were able to receive the art with such grace. The amount of support we’ve seen from people in our ecosystem is inspiring and shows what a great environment Smilesssvrs has become. Whether it was a delayed reveal time or a mistaken raffle winner, members have shown their support since day one, and we couldn’t be more thankful!
In seeing the passion and excitement coming from those who had never heard of Waheed, let alone the Smilesssvrs NFT project, we’re reminded that nothing stands between us and becoming a blue-chip NFT brand other than our own work ethic. Our fire has been stoked to new heights with this knowledge at hand, and we can promise you that we’re motivated more than ever!

For now, it’s time to allow him some well-deserved rest & relaxation while we prepare for Roadmap 2.0 and get back into the swing of things as the holidays roll around and the new year quickly approaches.
